The National’s Matt Berninger, along with the band’s manager, Brandon Reid, came up with the idea for a box set of 7” singles to benefit Planned Parenthood. The box set, Seven Inches for Planned Parenthood, will contain “mostly unreleased music,” according to Billboard.

Tons of big names will be featured on the album, including Foo Fighters, Bon Iver, Sleater-Kinney, St. Vincent, CHVRCHES, Elliott Smith, and members of The National. In addition, comedians like Zach Galifianakis, Sarah Silverman, and Margaret Cho will also be a part of the project.

In anticipation of the album, Zach Galifianakis offers his incredibly expert opinion on John Legend and St. Vincent’s cover of “Lovin’ You” by Minnie Riperton in the below short—part of a series of videos to promote the project.

It’s unclear when the album officially drops, but, Billboard reports, over the next few weeks, some of the album’s music will be digitally released in groupings a little bit at a time. And, as the title implies, it’ll eventually be made available on 7” vinyl.
